After over a decade working in aviation, Aero Law Group Administrator Meredith Clifford is adding a new responsibility that is taking her interest for the industry in a new direction — one that brings visibility and style to the women who fill various roles in this field. Her new brand, Par Avion, was born from a simple question voiced among colleagues on the golf course:
“Why can’t we find golf shirts with airplanes on them for girls?”
That casual comment sparked a bigger idea — to create a line of apparel and accessories that reflect the pride, professionalism, and individuality of women working throughout the aviation industry.
Meredith’s years in aviation gave her an opportunity to meet women in every facet of the field — from maintenance and operations to management and marketing. Female presence in the aviation industry is growing, but according to a 2024 NBAA article, women make up less than 20% of most aviation occupations[i]. Underrepresentation isn’t just limited to careers and leadership roles, but also in the small things that show pride in their chosen profession. Internet searches for aviation-themed products for women are limited and are usually designed for pilots, flight attendants, and frequent travelers. Par Avion was created for everyone else, too—for the technicians, schedulers, brokers, administrators, and leaders who make flight possible every day.
Par Avion aims to bridge that gap, offering designs that capture both the elegance of aviation and the spirit of the women who work within it. The brand’s early collections emphasize clean, minimalist artwork and subtle nods to aircraft design — wearable expressions of aviation pride that move beyond clichés.
Meredith plans to continue her role at Aero Law Group and envisions growing the brand in stages. The mission will remain the same — to celebrate the women who make aviation better, and to give them something that reflects who they are. There will indeed be golf shirts and so much more.
